RESIDENTIAL FACILITY FOR REFUGEES FROM THE ATO AREA REPAIRED UNDER AUSPICES OF AKHMETOV’S HUMANITARIAN AID HELP CENTRE

“Currently, refugees from the military area are the most vulnerable segments of the population. We could not stay aside and our team rendered assistance to repair the hostel accommodations”, noted Evgeniy Tsymarman, General Director of UMG Clay Extracting Plants. Rinat Akhmetov’s Humanitarian Aid+Help Centre provides assistance in four major areas, such as evacuation of children, orphaned children, mothers with many children, handicapped persons, seriously ill patients and elderly persons from the military areas; accommodation of refugees in holiday centres, health resorts and camps outside the military area; provision of humanitarian aid to people inside and outside the ATO area; addressed aid, including to underage children, who lost their parents during military actions. The Humanitarian Centre operates in Mariupol. To give information, requests for help and cooperation suggestions, please call at 0 800 50 9001 or address to helpdonbass@fdu.org.ua. The hot line operates 24 hours per day; calls are free from all phones. As of January 26, 2015, Rinat Akhmetov’s Foundation evacuated 39 163 people, including 14 706 children. Reference United Minerals Group (UMG) is the largest raw materials holding in Ukraine, which has been operating in such areas as clay extraction (since January 2007), flux and dolomite production (has been providing operating management since May 2012). Since 2012, the Group has been developing over twenty new areas of business with the aim to create a diversified raw materials holding. UMG Clay Extracting Plants, PJSC “Vesco”, PJSC “Druzhkovka Ore Mining” and PrJSC “Ogneupornerud”, are located in the south-eastern part of Ukraine, in the town of Druzhkovka. The production capacity of the clay extracting plants is about 4 million tonnes per year. The Group develops eleven pits, extracting over 100 grades of clay. The extracted clay is sold in twenty-five countries of the world to the world leading companies manufacturing ceramic tiles, bricks, sanitary ware, refractory and other ceramic products.
