UNITED MINERALS GROUP ACQUIRED THE CLAY MINING COMPANY FROM THE ITALIAN TILE MANUFACTURER

Purchase of this asset will enable UMG Holding to increase its raw material resources base for clay extraction and provide the opportunity to supply through an additional logistics hub – the Mertsalovo station. The acquisition will also attract new customers to the existing customer base of the Holding. The terms of the transaction require UMG to supply raw materials to the plants of the Marazzi Group in Italy and Russia. UMG Holding exports clay to more than 25 countries around the world. The clay extracting facilities of the Holding company are amongst the largest in the world in terms of selling white plastic clays. The production capacity of the clay extracting assets exceeds 4 million tons of clay per year; commercial clay reserves are estimated at 300 million tons. Following the acquisition of this new asset, the company now consists of four clay extracting facilities (PJSC “Vesco”, PJSC “Druzhkovka Ore Mining”, PrJSC “Ogneupornerud” and LLC firma “Donkerampromsyriо”).
