The clay extraction companies of United Minerals Group recently completed the annual “Miners of the Future” educational program for Druzhkivka city schools.
On September 16, United Minerals Group took part in the signing of the STEM Education Coalition’s Memorandum as a partner.

Graduates and students of Kyiv universities II – IV of the course are trained in the corporate center of UMG holding. The program aims to provide practical skills and professional experience working on business projects of the company under the guidance of a mentor.
Within the framework of GIFA 2015 International Foundry Trade Fair (Dusseldorf, Germany) UMG holding have showed aluminosilicate microsphere material to the attention of companies occupied in fireproof material and foundry operation businesses. It was the key event for UMG, since it determines market outlook for microsphere materials for some further years.
As a result of the destruction of the railway infrastructure of Dokuchayevsky flux-dolomite plant (Dokuchaevsk, Donetsk Region) the shipping of their products cannot be continued to end users. As a consequence, stoppage of plant operation led to a shortage of raw materials on the market.
A scheduled rotation of Board members took place at Private Joint Stock Company “Dokuchayevsk Flux and Dolomite Plant” and Private Joint Stock Company “Novotroitskoye Ore Mining” as required by the companies’ Charters.
PrJSC “Dokuchayevsk Flux and Dolomite Plant” (town of Dokuchayevsk, Donetsk Region) has not been operating for over a month already.
On Monday, February 9, 2015 a shutdown was announced at PrJSC Dokuchayevsk Flux and Dolomite Plant (Dokuchayevsk, Donetsk region). Over the past two weeks the plant and infrastructure of the town and the surrounding area were seriously damaged as a result of military activities. Fortunately, there were no casualties among the plant workers and the civilians.
United Minerals Group (UMG) Holding has acquired the company LLC firma “Donkerampromsiryo”, formerly part of the Italian Marazzi Group. The transaction includes 100% corporate rights to LLC firma “Donkerampromsiryo”, a company developing the Toretskoye deposit of refractory and high-melting clays in the Donetsk Region. Balance clay reserves of the acquired asset are estimated at 4.5 million tons. The cost of the transaction was not disclosed.
