Dokucheyevsk Flux and Dolomite Plant expresses deep condolences to the relatives of Larysa Alcheieva. The Group has allocated financial aid to her family and will render all necessary help to the injured employees of Dokucheyevsk Flux and Dolomite Plant.

“During this week, Dokucheyevsk Flux and Dolomite Plant has been under shelling from all sides. Actually, the plant found itself in the epicentre of military actions. After the shelling, the plant’s administrative buildings, workshops, equipment, power transmission lines, electric substations and railways were damaged. Besides, an unexploded shell was disarmed in the territory of the central warehouse. Shells fall onto the plant and its peaceful employees, who cannot leave the plant. We are in a deep grieve and express our condolence to Larysa Alcheieva’s family”, Said Sergey Onishchenko, the Chairman of the Board of Dokucheyevsk Flux and Dolomite Plant.

It should be reminded that Dokucheyevsk Flux and Dolomite Plant is one of the largest Ukrainian producers of flux products (lime and dolomites) and provides jobs for 2.4 thousand people. Its production facilities are regularly shelled. It should be noted that the production cycle of the Ukrainian metal making plants directly depends on the efficient operation of Dokucheyevsk Flux and Dolomite Plant. Because of interruptions in deliveries of flux, the metal making plants may face the risk of production suspension. The major consumers of the products of Dokucheyevsk Flux and Dolomite Plant are the Ukrainian plants of the mining an metal working industry, such as ArcellorMittal Kryvyi Rih, Zaporizhstal, Zaporizhzhia Iron Ore Works, Azovstal Iron and Steel Works and Illyich Iron and Steel Works. Besides, the plant owns social and infrastructural facilities of the town of Dokuchayevsk, for which it spent over UAH 20 million in 2014.
